Fabulous weekend! The staff and teachers were out of this world amazing. Our instructors are passionate about sharing their experiences with dancers. They make genuine connections with every student, take time to answer questions (and selfies), and bring unique perspectives on dance to each class.

Convention FAQ

What does each day look like?

When we say non-stop dance, we mean it! Classes generally start around 8am Saturday and Sunday with at least 2 different classes options for Juniors and for Seniors every hour (1 in the Senior Room, 1 in the Junior Room, and 1 in the Bonus Room). Classes then run back to back until dinner time with a 40 minute lunch break around noon.

Do dancers need to preregister for classes?

Nope! After your studio registers you for the convention (or you register yourself as an independent) you are ready to go! Once the schedule comes out you can highlight your favorite classes and show up ready to dance at the start time. Don’t worry, with our XL dance floors and large convention halls there’s plenty of room for dancers to spread out and still see the teacher.

Are classes organized by age groups or levels?

All classes are grouped by age groups – Senior, Junior, and Tween. We believe in taking on new challenges and learning from those around you. We have something to learn from every kind of dancer. Our instructors are trained to teach choreography that challenges and excites all dancers at every age group and level.

Can dancers attend classes in a different age group?

Sure! But if that class isn’t in the age group you were registered for we just kindly ask that you are respectful to the dancers who are registered to dance in that class, and if the class seems to full consider trying a different class. There’s always plenty of options!

What are the age groups for your conventions? Are they different from what I register in at competitions?

Our convention age groups are a little different than competitions. Seniors are dancers ages 13+, Juniors are ages 9-12, and Tweens are age 6-8, and Teachers are ages 18+.
