The top competitive-level soloists from each regional competition will receive the honor of being named a Showstopper All-Star. These are the top dancers in the nation!
Showstopper All-Stars are the top scoring soloists from each of our regional competitions in the Junior, Teen, and Senior Competitive Divisions.
The number of All-Stars selected is based on the number of entries at that show.
Up to 900 entries = top 4 scoring soloists
Over 900 entries = top 6 scoring soloists
Over 2000 entries = top 8 scoring soloists
Over 2500 entries = top 10 scoring soloists
The Opening Number provides dancers with an incredible opportunity to showcase their hard work and love of dance. While dancing alongside other All-Star dancers from across the country, dancers will be working with one of the dance industry’s top choreographers. Within 3 nights of rehearsals these dancers learn what its like to work as a professional dancer and create a performance unlike anything they have ever been a part of. Dancers come away with friendships and experiences that last a lifetime.

If you received an All-Star certificate on stage during awards, congrats! You are now eligible to perform in the 2025 Opening Number.
Login to your dancer account on goshowstopper.com and fill out the submission form under the OPENING NUMBER tab by the deadline. (Your dancer account is the same account used to download photos/videos. If you have not created an account you can do so using your name and birthday.) Your studio owner can also view this information and the submission form in their studio account. Please review all the information listed carefully – you must meet the important deadlines and requirements to participate in the Opening Number.
